Lots of Projects
I was pretty busy working on a variety of projects before the flu hit, but am just now getting around to posting them. Some I also wanted to wait until the recipients got them before posting them online. So, here they are:
Blanket and hat for Micah & Sarah’s new baby…

Donut pincushion…

Seed bead bracelet for one of my Mia Maids that just turned 16. (the rest will shortly, so I have to make several more in a variety of colors)…

Brown hemp necklace/choker. This was my first attempt at crocheting with beads (see bracelet).

Leopard print bag that I made for an online swap I participated in (I still haven’t received my pkg yet though, so I’m not sure it was such a good idea to participate). I learned how to do a bit more embroidery for this and can now frame a small “mirror” and make french knots.

These are 2 bookmarks I crocheted for the above mentioned swap…

OK, I think that’s it for now. There’s another necklace I made with beads, but don’t seem to have pics of it yet. I’ve also made a few pairs of lounge pants for Tyghe from various fabric scraps and a bunch of nice bibs as well. I’ll have to get some pics of those, cause they’re a nice size and shape.

You are just too crafty. You need to open a boutique!! Seriously. The baby afghan is beautiful. I think you could develop a Primary Bag, for primary teachers. It would need to have a firm, flat bottom, and then lots of pockets inside for chalk & eraser, crayons, scissors etc. Then a large partition for manual, and a slot for pictures. You could then sell them to Mormon Handicraft or something similar.
Holy Cow, you’re good. I only know how to tie knots! I remember you trying to teach me how to crochette at Wyview during an Enrichment. I am just not that good. Thank heavens there’s people like you who are talented that I can buy stuff from. I like the seed braclets/necklaces. Do you sell them?
WOw! You are so talented! Sorry it took so long to comment, I was hit with a major something, the Dr. couldnt figure it out even! He thought it was the flu, then strep and it was neither but it knocked me out for a this whole week, so sorry! So great to hear from you, way cute blog and it will be so fun to keep up with you!
Oh, where are you guys now?
I like the donut where the pins look like sprinkles.
Thanks.
Amy, I’d be happy to make something on commission, just let me know if there’s something specific you want.
Kelli – sorry you’ve been sick too. We’re in the mountains of New Mexico and have been here since leaving BYU 4 1/2 years ago.
really cute stuff! My hemp bead necklace that I love is beginning to fall apart. I never thought about making my own…hmmm
