Triathlon
Before having Tyghe I ran the San Francisco half marathon. I didn’t do too bad either. I’m not a great athlete, but having a goal and following through is such an amazing feeling. Now that I have 5 kids, I’ve been desperately trying to get back into shape. I’m getting there, but need a goal to work towards as well. SO, here it is…I am going to complete the Los Alamos Triathlon in August. I hope I’m not going to do it alone either. Thus is born 
Any moms (or women, really) wanting to join me in getting fit and having fun doing it are encouraged to join me in training for this event (whether they actually compete or not). I’m getting excited about it already.

So tell me what you had in mind (other’s joining you in getting fit) and what will the triathalon consist of?
Well, the actual triathlon is here in Los Alamos. The race here is a sprint distance tri consisting of a 12.4 mile bike ride, .5 mile swim and 3.1 mile run. If you follow the other blog I set up (the logo is a clickable link to more info) you can see what I’ll be doing. If you want to do it to, I’d love to have you come down and do the actual race with me!
I’m intersted in doing this and I think it would be fun to fly down and do. All is need help with is setting up a training schedule for I can get ready. I have a membership to Gold’s Gyn in AF so I can do anything to get ready. They even have a pool. I just don’t have an idea of how to get started. I need to know how much I should start out doing and for how long. Any help you can give would be great. I need a goal to work toward so I can stick with it. Let me know what you recommend since I’ve never done anything like this before, but I think I can do it.
I started training today. I’m a little sore but still motivated! I’ll let you know how it’s going later!
