Sad
June 2nd, 2008
My little sister said hello and goodbye to her baby girl this last week. I am so heartbroken for her. My mom posted a beautiful pic on her blog, and since she was there, I think it’s best to link to her post. I’m leaving early tomorrow morning (and taking Tyghe) to go and be with her for a few days and help with services on Thursday. I’m thankful that I’m able to go, and especially grateful for my friends here who will be watching my older kids so that Justin will still be able to work. My SIL Valerie shared this poem, and I think it’s very fitting:
A Heart of Gold stopped beating,
Two shining eyes at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes The Best.
God knows you had to leave us,
But you did not go alone ~
For part of us went with you,
The day He took you Home.

Megan–I’m so sorry to hear about Emily’s baby. I’m sure your visit will be appreciated. Please let Emily know I’m thinking of her!
THat is so sad, I am so sorry this happened to your family. Best of luck in the days to come in getting through this difficult time, so nice that you will be able to be there for her. I am so sorry.

Megan–I’m so glad you get to go out and be with Emily!! If anything like that ever happened to me I would want Jill right there…there isn’t anything quite as comforting as a sister!! I hope all goes well. WE are thinking of you guys!
