Crochet

December 4th, 2008

Now that my gift has been received, I thought I’d share my recent big crochet project. Using a pattern from gourmetcrochet.com, I made a nativity to add to my moms collection. It’s somewhat comical, but took a lot of detail work that I don’t typically do. It’s hard to tell from the pic, but the people are about 6″ tall.

Another project I whipped up last night is a gift for Ada’s friend’s birthday today. I asked Ada what she would like me to make for her friend, and she requested pink slippers, so this is what I came up with.

OK, seriously, if we can find a good time for me to come visit next year, will you teach me to crochet?

That nativity set is gorgeous! And who wouldn’t love slippers like that for a gift?

I too love the Nativity! Mom went and set it up yesterday at the Creche Exhibit.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. You never cease to amaze me. The precious little nativity is now on display at the Stake Creche Festival. I will take a photo tomorrow of the ones I have on display this year. I don’t always take all of them.

How cute is that Nativity?!? I didn’t know you crocheted, too. Those slippers are quite adorable as well.

BTW, I did receive the purse from Sara. It’s very nice, and I love the details such as the decorative stitching along the seams. So clever! Thanks again:)
