She can fly!

This past weekend Caemlyn and Justin had another swim meet here in town. Caemlyn did very well, improving all of her times. She also swam her first 50 butterfly. I’m so proud of her.

I didn’t get any decent pics of her 50 free.
Justin also did very well in his events, dropping almost a full second from his 200 free time.

Also last week was the school science fair. Kezia’s first grade class got to do a neat project on sun spots. One of the parents of a classmate is a physicist at the lab and brought a large, fancy telescope to school for them to use to look at the sun’s activity. Quite a neat opportunity.

Zephram’s GATE class also did a project. They first attempted one on silk worms, but they all died, so they ended up doing their project on snails.

Wow, the butterfly!! That’s not an easy stroke. I like your water pictures, they’re awesome!
Wow - look at her go! You pics are great. I always despised the whole science fair process. It was agonizing, but then I didn’t have access to a giant telescope. I do have access to a ton of snails in the spring - should they need replacements for more research. I recall some the more unique projects were from Micah - videotaping himself sleeping to Nirvana, or classical music to see which disturbed his sleep more. Then there was the M & M project to see if like colors were attracted to each other when handfuls were poured out of the bag. Let’s hear a rollcall of some of the other projects you kids produced.
Those are some neat swimming pictures! Your camera takes great pictures. Your kids would probably like the Discovery science and space center we went to a couple of weeks ago. They have little worksheets to test your knowledge as you do all the hands on stuff.
