Goodbye Big, Red Beast!
We decided to take advantage of our New Year’s trip to CO to purchase a new family vehicle. Our 1996 red suburban served us well enough, but we decided we needed something newer and more reliable. We were able to trade it in for a slightly used, 2009 silver suburban. Our car is no longer easy to find in a busy parking lot, but the ride is so worth it! It’s truly like trading a beast of a car for a luxury SUV. I’m loving it! While the car has many nifty features, I think my favorite “toy” is the built-in bluetooth. I think I’m finally getting used to “talking to the car” without giggling. While I don’t seem to have pics of either car - this should give you a pretty good idea of what we had/have.

Pretty accurate representations, but we certainly didn’t have the rack on the front. lol

Niiiiice! Can’t wait to ride in the lap of luxury in a few weeks!
Yay for your new vehicle. We’re actually planning on making the same purchase this May (either the Suburban or the Yukon since they are the same vehicle, just different names). Ok, don’t laugh, but I’m leaning toward the Suburban because I like the way the font looks on the side instead of the BIG BOLD “YUKON” on the side/back. Silly, I know, but I think the way “SUBURBAN” looks is much classier. Hey, there’s really no other difference (even price), so I had to find something to nitpick about, right?
