Santa Fe is sponsoring their first triathlon on July 19. The distances are the same as the Los Alamos Tri, but in run/bike/swim order – all based at the Chavez Community Center. Race start is at 6:30am. You can go here and download race info and registration forms. If anyone wants to do this, let me know and maybe we can stay down there the night before and split the cost of a room.

We won’t be able to use the pool as planned for our Saturday workout since the pool doesn’t open until 10am. Due to this, I’m changing the workout to a run/bike brick as a prep for the SF Tri transition. Meet at 6:30am at the pool, where we will rack our bikes and make our transition.

I think we’re making good progress and will definitely be ready for the TRI come August. I can’t make it to this weeks Tuesday swim (Justin is on travel), but Nicole will be there, so look for her if you are going. I will be at the pool on Thursday though, so hope to see you then. If you’re running in the Dog Jog next week, I thought it might be good prep to run the course down in White Rock this Saturday. Let’s plan on 8am, but let me know if there’s a better time for you. I will be picking up Nicole, and am happy to drive anyone else down that wants to come with – just let me know.

Next week – I’m anxious to go on another bike ride, so that’s on my schedule for next Tuesday at 5:30pm. Let’s meet at the pool and go from there. Then swim on Thursday and Dog Jog on Saturday.

I’m so excited – I finally got my bike!  So I’m ready for my first bike workout – this Saturday morning.  I’m listing the time as 8:30am, but am open to suggestions for a different time.  I do want to be done before 10am though.  I think we’ll head out on the route for the tri, so why don’t we meet at the football field parking lot?  Also open to suggestions for where to ride, if you have a preference.

I will also be at the pool tomorrow at 5:30 pm with my daughter, so feel free to join me for a workout.
